The Red Box Tools Team have been given another exciting design opportunity for Joe North at NorthyTV, who has previously worked on prime time TV programmes such as ‘Love Island’! Joe has been after Shadow Foaming® layers for his professional camera equipment collection and we were more than happy to offer our services. Due to their composition and overall flexibility, foam layers are the perfect option in terms of storage and protection for this type of specialist (and expensive!) kit. In total, Joe required five sets of foam layers to fit in separate cases, so we had to scan each item individually and then create a design like the examples above via our CNC software.
After we got the go ahead from Joe, we got these straight on to the router for cutting. Following a quick clean up, a run through our pizza oven for heat treatment and then a test fit, the layers were ready for use.
